HVAF - Freedom Ride | Please join us for the Bikers for HVAF 2nd Annual Freedom Ride.  This event is  designed to raise awareness for homeless veterans and their families.  The proceeds earned assist in funding the essential programs and services HVAF provides to homeless and at-risk veterans and families.  The escorted motorcycle ride begins at Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis and ends downtown at HVAF.  Preregistration can be completed online and day of registration will also available.  Registration the day of the event will begin at 9 a.m. at Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis and the escorted ride will depart promptly at 10:30 a.m. from Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis, 4146 East 96th Street and ends at HVAF, at 964 N Pennsylvania.  For more information about the Bikers for HVAF Freedom Ride please contact us.  Sponsors, vendors and volunteers are still needed for the 2nd Annual Freedom Ride. | Visit Web Site

Helpers Helping Others Task Force - By-Monthly Meeting | Attention Volunteers or persons that want to be Volunteers - We are looking for volunteers, teachers, tutors and mentors of all kinds.  If you have ever wanted to volunteer in helping: 1) our Homeless; 2) our Veterans; 3) our Youth; 4) our Seniors; 5) our street outreach or street ministries; 6) our friends and family in our prisons and jails; and, 7) our non-profit organizations in "just helping out", you should plan to attend our next Task Force meeting.  We will introduce you to several volunteer opportunities that you and/or your organization may be interested in.  |  Meetings are held at HRH's facility at 918 E. Wheeler Mission - Camp Out to Stamp Out Homelessness | On any given night, there are approximately 1,500 homeless men, women and children in our community.  Since 1893 Wheeler Mission has been providing food, shelter, clothing, rehabilitation services and spiritual direction to the homeless and less fortunate in Central Indiana.
